Rare, mysterious like a good scotch, Excelsa grows at higher elevations like in Bukidnon.
It’s believed to be the variety Caffea Dewevrei that started in South Africa.
It is known as a cousin of Caffea Liberica or Barako because of its unique taste.
It is also believed to be lower in caffeine than robusta and arabica.
